When I’m stuck I have turned to ChatGPT to help me out. I’ll paste my text and ask it to rewrite it to sound more fun or create a catchy hook, but sometimes it takes a few tries to get it just right. Then I stumbled upon Prompt Frameworks. These are guidelines to help you structure your AI prompts ensuring a more accurate response that is aligned with your request. Another great feature that you'll see at the end of the examples below, is the prompts guide AI to ask you more relevant questions after its response in order to help you dive further into your project.
Let's take a look at five prompt frameworks and how to use them.
FRAMEWORK #1 - RTF
Use this prompt when you need a clear response in a specific format.
Role - define a role
Task - set a task
Format - select a format
FRAMEWORK #2 - TAG
Use this prompt when you need to guide AI towards a specific goal.
Task - define the task
Action - state the action
Goal - clarify the goal
FRAMEWORK #3 - BAB
Use this prompt when you need to structure a story or explain a problem/solution with a clear before and after that shows the steps connecting them.
Before - explain the before (problem)
After - state the after (desired outcome)
Bridge - bridge the gap (solution)
FRAMEWORK #4 - CARE
Use this prompt when you have a complex situation where context matters (provide background information, desired action, and expected result.)
Context - give the context
Action - describe the action
Result - clarify the result(s)
